shea moisture / rebrand

shea moisture

Shea Moisture is a hair/skin care brand that I selected to rebrand because I thought their products were great but they were getting lost in the aisles. I began by developing a more solid mark that could more recognizable rather than their current script type. From there I was able to develop a pattern and both are continued in the primary brown and gold color palette in the stationery and packaging. The products continue using the secondary color palette in a system that is dependent on the ingredients of the products so they can be presented as a collection. In the end, a branding guide was also developed containing all of the guidelines for the brand.

Mobile App / Quiz

The intention of the mobile app is so consumers can further engage with the brand by having an account where they can save and view special offers 100% tailored to them. The main highlight of the app would be the quiz (which the company currently has) but I believe it could be pushed further to include a skin-type quiz, in addition to the hair-type quiz. After taking it, users would be encouraged to create an account so their results would be saved and all of the ads/products they are fed would be tailored towards that individual based off their results.
